Personally, I like this doll a lot, I think she is really cute and has potential to be a good stand in for Elizabeth.
Right now, my three dolls each have a differant face mold, skin color and hair color. So they dont look similar at all and I like that. But with AGT25 as Elizabeth, she would have the same face mold as Felicity. Granted, mine is PM so her face is chubbier and her hair more red anyway. Do you think they would look too similar standing next to one another? Ive never had a chance to see two traditional dolls next to each other so I wouldnt know
The really funny part, is that I think she looks great as modern girl too and she's telling me I should name her Morgan (it seems to fit her dark, almost mysterious hair) So if I got her, she wouldnt even be named Elizabeth, she would be Morgan, my modern girl who stands in as Elizabeth most of the time! Argh..
The Elizabeth AG has made is pretty enough, but I just cant connect to her, she looks too prissy for me and is just not Elizabeth. Any thoughts? Sorry I rambled so bad...

Ooh, I never even thought about AGT 26 as Harriet! I think it might work!!
As for #25 as Elizabeth, I think I'd have to see pics of her in Elizabeth's clothing before I could decide for sure. But she is definitely beautiful in her own right, as a Today girl, so I think you'd be happy with her either way.

ksami, doesnt she seem perfect for Harriet? She is so darn cute, I love that doll. *Sigh* Space and money Rachel, space and money...
I think part of the reason why Im leaning towards AGT25 as Elizabeth is because in the original pictures of Elizabeth she has a very round, chubby cheeked face and that seems to fit the traditional mold better anyway. Ruthie is the only character I can think of that actually looks like a specific face mold.

I mentioned the new dark-haired AGT as possibly looking like the original Elizabeth in another thread, but no one else picked up on it. All my dolls have the original face mold (except my Asian!), and I don't think they'd look too similar. I'd love to see the new AGT in some of Elizabeth's clothes!

Robin, I think I remember that actually, but everyone was probably all caught up in the excitement of a new doll. I dont think shes really what any of us expected although very popular regardless.
Sooo, does anyone out there have an AGT25 they could dress up in Lissie's clothes? LOL, I know thats a little quick since she just made her debut but theres no harm in asking, right?Personally I think all that dark hair will look better with most of Elizabeth's outfits than the blonde, especially the green dress and cape, but thats just my opinion.

I think AGT25 looks FAR more like Molly's friend Linda. Elizabeth doesn't have black hair, and this doll's hair is deffinitly black, with brown high lights.
Obviously the black hair/brown eyes will look far more like Elizabeth than the blonde/blue eyed doll that IS Elizabeth. But, I think rewigging a light skinned doll with brown eyes would be a much better way of getting a real Elizabeth.
Although, if you like the doll, there's no reason she couldn't be Elizabeth. I'm just saying that I don't think she looks a WHOLE lot more like book Elizabeth than the blonde/blue eyed doll.

Cami I think you kinda hit it on the nose with me. I know her hair is a bit too dark for Elizabeth, but I really dont want to rewig a doll and would like to have AGT25 anyway. If I rewigged a brown eyed doll AND got AGT25, then I would end up with two dolls that look a lot alike. I figure if I get her, she could probably pose as Elizabeth too. And I agree with the Linda comment, she does look just like her. If I liked Molly more I would use her as such but unforunately I dont. Its a good idea for anyone who is though.
I think down the line though AG is going to realize that the original hairstyle on most of the AGTs is dated and we should expect to see more dolls without bangs. And if thats the case, they probably will introduce a doll who looks exactly like Elizabeth at some point in time anyway. Its a pretty basic combination.

I think AGOT 25 would make a good elizabeth, I am getting her for a modern g irl that loves Colonial times and volenters at a colonial exsibit in her town. So she gets to wear both clothes!

I always thought Elizabeth's hair looked black with brown in the illustrations, so I think AGT25's hair is the right color for Elizabeth. I think I'll probably use her for Elizabeth and a modern girl, if I can handle that, lol.
